About This Course

On this Nightlatch Installation Course you will learn everything needed to be able to fit all of the following locks.

Yale 85 Nightlatch, Traditional Nightlatch, Roller Nightlatch, Non BS ERA Nightlatch, British Standard Nightlatch, and a Yale PBS1 British Standard Nightlatch.

I will also show you all the tools and equipment required to fit all of the nightlatches on the course.

And I will show you some very useful hints and tips including changing from a 40mm backseat to a 60mm backseat and making good the hole, how to pack out a keep if you’ve chiselled it in too deep, how to cut a keep into an architrave, and how to caulk around a keep should you need to. 

I also show how to sharpen your chisels, as this is an important and underestimated part of lock fitting and is essential to have sharp chisels for fitting locks neatly and quickly.
